How To Vacuum Pack Food With An Automatic Machine?

1. Clean And Prepare The Food

The first step in the process of vacuum packing food with the automatic machine is to of course clean and prepare the foods you want to use. If you use a mini automatic compression vacuum sealer, take care of its capacity. Preparing food means scrubbing or peeling the fruits so that the dirt isn’t trapped inside of the bag. If you are using it to vacuum pack meat you can also trim any skin and bone that you know you won’t need.

2. Place The Food Into A Bag

Another important step is to put the food you want to vacuum pack into a vacuum bag. These bags are specially designed for this and it is not recommended to use any kind of bag. You can also fold the top part of the bag that is going to be sealed later, to keep it clean.

3. Put The Bag Into The Vacuum Machine

The next step of this process would be to place the open edge of the bag into a sealing machine. It is important to place it this way for the machine to be able to seal the top part at the end of the process.

4. Press The Button

After you have done all of the steps above you will have to press the button on the vacuum sealing machine to start the sealing process. Some of the vacuum pack food machines come with an automatic sensor that will notice when the bag has been placed inside properly and it will automatically start the sealing process.

5. Watch It Sucks Out The Air

After you have started the vacuum packing process all you can do is wait for the plastic bag to start shrinking as more and more air comes out of it.

6. Stopping The Operation

Once all of the air has been taken out, the automatic kitchen vacuum sealer will stop the operation on its own. But before it does it will also automatically seal the plastic vacuum bag so that no air can come back inside.

7. Remove The Bag

After that whole process is done, you can simply remove the vacuum-packed food in the bag and store it in the freezer or your pantry, depending on the food type.

How To Vacuum Pack Food With A Manual Pump?

1. Clean And Prepare The Food

If you are using the manual pump for vacuum packing foods, the first step is the same as with the automatic vacuums. You will have to clean and prepare the foods in a way that is the easiest for you to store them.

2. Insert The Food Into A Bag

The next step will be to place all of that food into a plastic bag or a container. Usually, some of the manual vacuum sealing systems use containers instead of bags. You should get a view of how do vacuum sealers work before using them.

4. Place It On The Pump

In the next step, you will have to place the nozzle end of the pump into the hole on the bag or the container lid. The hole is already provided when you buy the bag or the container. The bag is practical if you prefer cooking in vacuum-sealed bags.

5. Press The Pump

After you have done all of the required steps above, it is time to press down on the vacuum pump multiple times, until all of the air is sucked from the bag or the container.

6. Remove The Nozzle From The Whole

After all the air has been sucked out of the bag or the container you need to remove the nozzle from the pumping hole. Most of the manual systems have a one-way nozzle to prevent the air from escaping once you remove the nozzle.

7. Store It Away

The last step of this process is of course to store your vacuum-packed food in the pantry, freezer, or fridge depending on what food it is.

To Wrap It Up

No matter if you are using an automatic home vacuum sealer or a manual vacuum food sealer, there are only a few steps you need to follow. Place the clean food into a plastic bag or a container, suck out the air out of the bag, and then store it away.
